Privacy Policy for BillMate

1. Introduction

BillMate is an offline bill management application provided by PROPERTY LOCKER LLC, United States of America.

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information.

This Privacy Policy explains how BillMate handles information entered into the application, how that information is stored, and the choices available to users.

2. Information You Enter

BillMate allows users to voluntarily enter and manage bill-related information, including:

  • Bill names and categories.
  • Bill amounts and selected currency.
  • Payment due dates.
  • Recurring bill preferences.
  • Optional bill notes.
  • Bill payment status (paid or unpaid).
  • Bill history and related records.
  • Application preferences, including the preferred start day of the week.

This information is used to provide the application's bill management and tracking features.

BillMate does not require users to create an account, register, or provide personal identification details to use its core features.

3. Local Data Storage

BillMate is designed to work completely offline.

Bill information is stored locally on the user's device using an Android Room database.

Application preferences may be stored using Android's local preference storage.

The application does not require a remote database or online account to manage bills.

PROPERTY LOCKER LLC does not operate a server that automatically receives or stores users' bill records through the application.

4. How Information Is Used

BillMate uses locally stored information to:

  • Create, edit, and delete bill records.
  • Organize bills by category.
  • Display upcoming payment due dates.
  • Track paid, pending, and overdue bills.
  • Calculate bill totals and dashboard summaries.
  • Display bill records in the calendar.
  • Manage recurring bill information.
  • Apply user-selected currency preferences.
  • Generate CSV exports when requested by the user.

BillMate processes this information locally to provide its core functionality.

5. Data Collection and Sharing

BillMate does not automatically transmit bill records to PROPERTY LOCKER LLC or third-party servers.

The application does not include advertising, analytics, or third-party user-tracking SDKs in the described version.

We do not sell, rent, or share users' locally stored bill information with advertisers or data brokers.

BillMate does not use bill records for behavioral advertising or profiling.

6. Internet Access

BillMate's core features are designed to operate without an internet connection.

The application does not require internet access for adding bills, viewing bill history, calculating totals, or displaying the bill calendar.

The described version does not rely on an online service to store or synchronize bill information.

7. Notifications and Reminders

The current version of BillMate does not request Android's POST_NOTIFICATIONS or RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED permissions.

The application does not schedule automatic background bill reminders or notification alerts.

Users can manually review upcoming and overdue bills through the dashboard, bill list, and calendar.

8. Data Export and Backup

BillMate provides an optional CSV export feature.

When users choose to export their records, the application creates a CSV file containing bill-related information.

Users control the location where the exported file is saved through Android's file selection interface.

If users choose to save or share an exported file using another application or cloud storage service, that service may handle the file under its own privacy policy.

PROPERTY LOCKER LLC does not automatically receive exported bill files.

Users are responsible for protecting exported files and managing copies stored outside the application.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

BillMate retains locally saved records on the device until the user deletes them or removes the application's local data.

Users can delete individual bill records using the application's bill management features.

Users may also remove application data through Android device settings or by uninstalling the application, subject to device and backup behavior.

Exported CSV files are separate from the application database and must be deleted from their saved locations by the user.

PROPERTY LOCKER LLC does not have remote access to users' local records and cannot directly delete files stored on a user's device.

10. Data Security

BillMate stores bill records within Android's application storage.

Android's application sandbox provides operating-system-level separation between applications.

The application disables Android automatic application backup in the described version.

However, no device or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users should protect their devices with appropriate screen locks and keep their operating systems updated.

11. Financial Information and Payments

BillMate is a bill tracking and management application.

The application does not process bill payments, connect to bank accounts, or perform financial transactions.

Users manually enter bill amounts, due dates, and payment statuses.

The application does not require credit card numbers, debit card numbers, banking passwords, or payment account credentials.

BillMate is not a banking service, payment processor, or financial institution.

12. Children's Privacy

BillMate is intended as a general-purpose utility application and is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13.

The application does not knowingly collect children's personal information through a company-operated server.

13. Third-Party Services

The described version of BillMate does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking services.

When users voluntarily export and share files through external applications, those applications may process the shared information independently.

We encourage users to review the privacy policies of any external services they choose to use.
